"Gruel is about jealousy, anger and failed attempts at escaping false thoughts, We had a lot inspirations for GRUEL, but we feel mainly a combination of Goth and post punk bands such as BauHaus and VietCong as well as being greatly inspired by our environment, from practicing in a dark damp warehouse building in Hull this has shaped the dark nature of the song."
