New to the Hull scene, Black Lime is the brainchild of singer-songwriter Sam Connolly who formed the band to try something different amongst a sea of acoustic artists. Black Lime are a honey-dipped rock and roll outfit consisting of 4 members, each hailing from different musical backgrounds. Creating a blend of different sounds, Black Lime merges both modern and old school styles in the zestiest way imaginable.

Now with a sound and a purpose in place, second single ‘Down and Out’ is a sharp hitter showing a different side to the 4-piece.

Singer Sam Connolly says “Down and Out is about wanting more from a stale relationship, because you both have polar-opposite personalities.. the lyrics reflect those differences. We really wanted to show people we can kick it up a gear, to show that the energy we've put into the song doesn't go to waste and that we're really hoping to become a prominent figure in the local scene.”
